UPDATE: This flute will likely need new pads. Lots of air leaking. Our consignor has elected to dramatically drop the price and sell the flute as-is. Having the pads redone could cost between $200-$300, with a full overhaul being closer to $600. The price has been reduced to $649 to account for either procedure should the buyer choose to go through with it

Rudall Carte piccolo, serial #11039. Grenadilla & sterling silver. Exact year of manufacture is unknown, but likely post-1878. Headjoint is stamped: Rudall Carte & Co. London, with 039 (on Back). Body is stamped: Rudall Carte & Co. London, 10039. The venerable British firm of Rudall, Carte & Co. began as Rudall & Rose (1821–1852), became Rudall Rose Carte & Co. (1852–1871), and operated as Rudall, Carte & Co. past 1950.
Previous owner purchased in 2016 and had it fully overhauled by Jerry Schurr. Detail on restoration can be provided, but instrument was fully disassembled, a 2.5″ crack running from the crown ring was repaired, fully corked, repadded, cleaned, adjusted, etc.
The piccolo remains in very good condition and play-tests well. Non-original hard case included.
