Used Gibson “Trapdoor” banjo uke in excellent condition. Head looks great, although material is unknown. Headstock appears to have some touch up paint on it (can be seen in photographs) more than likely covering up discolorations that are typical of an instrument of this age.

This is the earliest version of this banjo-uke with a 9″ head. Most were designated BU-1 (with 6″ heads) snakehead–trapdoor model.
Gibson made this line of banjos’ in the early 20’s to early 30’s, before the full resonator era that featured a flatback, but hinged, resonator.
